Charisse Parnell is a highly respected creative leader, educator, and choreographer whose work is defined by empathy, calm strength and a clear artistic vision. Her professional career spans TV commercials, films, fashion parades, opening ceremonies, and major corporate events, working with artists and organisations including Guy Sebastian, The Veronicas, Jessica Mauboy, Phil Walleystack, Tim Campbell, the WA Youth Awards, StyleAid, Oasis Ball, Gold Plate Awards, Telethon, and international summer camps in New York. She has also adjudicated festivals, talent shows, and breaking competitions across Australia.
With formal training in Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap and Ballet, Charisse has studied at the Contemporary Dance Centre under the direction of Ruth Osborne (Perth), Broadway Dance Centre (New York), and Pineapple Studios (London). She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Marketing and the Media) and a Diploma of Education (Primary Teaching). As an award-winning educator, she has been recognised state-wide, nominated for Australian of the Year, lectured at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and the University of Western Australia, written for the Curriculum Council, delivered professional development for teachers across WA, and served as a TEE (ATAR) marker and consultant for the Department of Education and Training.
