Melissa’s professional dance training started at 16 when she left home to study at Addict Dance Academy, one of the top performing arts institutions in the UK.  Melissa trained here for 5 years, being taught by industry professionals.  Here, Melissa gained a Bachelor of Arts and 3 A levels in performing arts (dance), receiving a D*D*D.  Throughout her time at Addict, Melissa took part in many shows, videography projects and performances.  Melissa was also pat of the dance ensemble for ‘The Addams Family’ musical directed by Hannah Boyce and choreographed baby Jade Hageman.  In Melissa’s final year of studies, she was a dancer in ’The Good Kid Odyssey’ choreographed and created by Gaz Woodward.  This was a 30minute Hip Hop theatre performance, based on Kendrick Lamar and his life.  Melissa has leant from many choreographers who have shaped her into the performer and teacher she is today.

Melissa’s passion for dance started at the age of 4, when she started taking ballet classes.  Since then, she has learnt so much, developed skills, experienced different aspects of the dance industry and her passion is just getting bigger.  In her early years of dancing, Melissa did many examinations and shows, performed at Disney Land Paris, received 1st at the UKDCC for ballet and was a part of the Performers Elite Programme.

Melissa loves teaching and guiding the younger generation.  Her passion and enthusiasm for dance is really what drives her and helps her excel.
